Pop star Britney Spears has been granted a chaperoned overnight visit each week with her two young sons in her ongoing child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Spears passed a week of  drug tests and appeared in court yesterday at an emergency meeting to ask for the extended visits with her toddler boys.

After she lost custody of the boys because of the judge's concerns about her drug and alcohol abuse, Spears was allowed monitored visits with the children every other day.  Before yesterday's court appearance she met to discuss the matter with Federline, who reportedly asked that the sleep-overs be supervised. Spears unsuccessfully proposed to the judge that her mother act as a chaperone, MTV reports. (More Britney Spears stories.)
