'NSync Mogul Accused of Sleeping With Boy Singers

Posted Oct 13, 07 8:27 AM CDT in US Arts & Living    Editor's Choice

(Newser) – Boy band "svengali" Lou Pearlman is accused of scamming more than $300 million, but some ex-singers and moms say there's more: The 'NSync and Backstreet Boys mogul pressured his underage wannabe stars for sex. One ex-assistant has gone on record with Vanity Fair, saying, "There was one guy in every band—one sacrifice—who takes it for Lou."

But "none of these kids will admit anything happened," says an attorney. "If the truth came out, it would ruin careers." The mother of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter admits that "certain things happened" to make her warn moms, but she won't say what. Some also refute the accusations: "There was no inappropriate behavior," says one investor in Pearlman's ponzi scheme. "No way."
