LeBron James is leaving Cleveland for the Miami Heat. Or as the Miami Herald puts it: "The King is coming." The Cleveland Plain Dealer takes a dimmer view: "Legone," as does the New York Daily News, which hoped for a new Knick: "Burned!" James made his pick tonight during an unprecedented ESPN special, confirming rumors that caused a serious run on the Heat's season tickets this afternoon.

James said he didn't make up his mind until this morning, after talking to his mom. "I never wanted to leave Cleveland," he said. "My heart will always be around that area." In Miami, he'll be joining stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. "We're going to be a real good team," he predicted. The Herald agrees: "Commence the march toward multiple NBA championships as the league's latest star-studded basketball dynasty," it declares. As for the Plain Dealer: The decision "will likely rock Northeast Ohio for years to come." (More LeBron James stories.)
