Interpol IDs Serial Pedophile in Scrambled Web Photos

Posted Oct 16, 07 9:30 AM CDT in World

(Newser) – Interpol has identified a suspected serial pedophile who posted altered photos of himself with as many as 12 boys he apparently molested in Vietnam and Cambodia, reports Reuters. Agents identified Christopher Paul Neil, a Canadian English teacher who has taught at Asian schools, after Interpol released digitally unscrambled photos from the internet in a rare appeal to the public for help.

Neil was identified by five sources on three continents. He had obscured his identity on the internet with a swirling pattern over his face. German police, who have been investigating the case for three years, unscrambled the images and posted them on the Interpol website. Thai police spotted Neil in a Bangkok airport security image, and he's believed to be on the run nearby.
