Mystery Surrounds Chelsea Clinton's Wedding

Former first daughter's nuptial plans keep many guessing

(Newser) – Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky have scheduled their wedding for July 31 in Rhinebeck, NY, right? Maybe not—or maybe the good people of Rhinebeck are really good liars. The mayor tells the Wall Street Journal he's not in the loop and is "very upset," adding, "My biggest concern is traffic and emergency response, and I want to make sure this kind of stuff is secure."

What's more, reports that the 400-person guest list includes President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Ted Turner, among other luminaries, are greatly exaggerated, the right-wing blog Human Events reports. And one Rhinebeck cop shares an intriguing theory: "My wife thinks this is a decoy location, and the wedding will be held on Martha's Vineyard."
