Michigan's New Rules On Child Porn

(User Submitted) – The Michigan Supreme Court ruled yesterday that downloading child porn and saving it to a memory device, is not the same thing as creating or distributing the material and shouldn't be punishable as if it were. The split decision came as great news for convicted kiddie porn enthusiasts like, Brian Lee Hill who has admitted to amassing an "extensive library" for personal use and burning it to DVD, but found it unfair that he was accused of creating the smut himself. He would never do that... The ruling supports the legislation that is aimed to punish creators and distributors of child porn more harshly than mere 'collectors' and makes Hill's offense a 4-year felony instead of a 20-year, giving him many more years of freedom to hone his predatory skills.
