The Future: A Nuclear Reactor In Your Home?
   (AP)

Imagine a future in which a microwave-sized device provides unlimited non-polluting, cheap energy for every home in America—using nothing more than water and lithium. So what's the hold up? The device uses low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology, a very close cousin of cold fusion, the elusive quest for which has brought nothing but misery and disgrace to its proponents.

Inventor Lewis Larsen thinks it's the real deal, reports the Chicago Reader, and says he has the research and patents to prove it. All he needs now is $25 million for the prototype. Can anyone spare a dime? (More low energy nuclear reaction stories.)
