A wedding planned for Saturday in Sweden was called off after the groom was arrested for assaulting and threatening to kill his bride-to-be. The engaged couple joined the wedding party at a pub for a few drinks Friday evening...and that's when the trouble began. A disagreement turned into an argument that continued at home, leading the bride to call the police, reports The Local.

The groom allegedly punched the bruised-not-blushing bride and threatened to kill her in front of police officers, who intervened and took him into custody. He was arrested and charged with multiple offenses. Officers said they were most surprised at what they found in his pocket, a first in their professional police careers; click here to find out what that was.
