Bin Laden Would Love to Bomb NYC Mosque

Those who think Osama bin Laden is laughing at America because of plans to build a mosque at Ground Zero are way off base, writes Jeffrey Goldberg at the Atlantic. Bin Laden would hate this thing and would love to "dispatch a truck bomb to destroy" it if it ever gets built. Remember that his "most dire enemies" are fellow Muslims, at least those he deems impure enough to work in cooperation with the West.

The imam in charge of this project, Feisal Abdul Rauf, "represents what Bin Laden fears most: a Muslim who believes that it is possible to remain true to the values of Islam and, at the same time, to be a loyal citizen of a Western, non-Muslim country.
