"Sister Wives" seems like a real-life version of HBO's "Big Love."   (AP Photo/HBO, Lacey Terrell)

(Newser) – It was only a matter of time before TLC, home to the Duggars and their 19 kids and, of course, Jon and Kate and their eight, got itself a polygamist family. Sister Wives, premiering next month, follows Utah polygamist Kody, his three wives, their 13 children…and the fourth wife (and her three kids) he’s looking to add to the clan. (Got all that?) The network president tells the Los Angeles Times the family wants to do away with the secrecy of polygamy and is “looking for understanding.”

The love, honesty, and freedom that we experience as a group is something that should not be looked down upon or shunned by those who don't understand. So much hatred out there...when all we are about is love. I hope that 'Sister Wives' can illustrate the great things that can come of a plural relationship. We are happy, and we are happy to see a family willing to step out of the 'poly shadows' and share their stor
