Kanye West took to Twitter this morning—many, many times—to apologize to Taylor Swift anew for interrupting her VMA speech last year and to say he's written a song for her, reports the Daily News. A stunt ahead of this year's show on Sept. 12 and a rumored reunion? Maybe, says Entertainment Weekly. But it's still sort of entertaining. Some tweet highlights:

  • "I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."
  • "We're both artists, and the media and managers are trying to get between us."
  • "I became George Bush over night."

  • "These aren't regular tweets... this is stream of consciousness ... I want you guys to know and feel where my head is at."
  • "People Tweeted that they wish I was dead ... No listen. They wanted me to die, people. I carry that."
  • "I'm sorry Taylor."
