Paul Byrd and two Cleveland relievers combined for the Indians' fourth shutout in seven games with a 4-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday. Byrd (2-3) allowed five hits over 7 1-3 innings, striking out seven without a walk. The right-hander extended the Indians' scoreless streak to 34 innings by their starting staff. More »

Asdrubal Cabrera broke an 0-for-14 slump with a bases-loaded single in the 11th inning to give the Cleveland Indians a 3-2 win over the Seattle Mariners last night. Jhonny Peralta drew a one-out walk off Mark Lowe (1-2). Travis Hafner then doubled to left and Jamey Carroll was hit by a 1-2 pitch to load the bases. More »

Justin Morneau made the most of his second chance. After striking out with a runner on second in the eighth inning, Morneau singled home Brendan Harris in the 10th, lifting the Minnesota Twins to a 2-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday. Jason Varitek sat long enough. After resting for eight innings, Boston's catcher Varitek hit a pinch-hit home run in the ninth inning off Jensen Lewis to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 5-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night, sweeping the two-game ALCS rematch.
