Police are now seeking a mysterious "Mediterranean" couple who may be connected to the murdered British spy who was found naked and wrapped in a padlocked gym bag in an empty bathtub of his London home. Gareth Williams, 31, was likely the victim of a professional hit for reasons not divulged by the British government, and the mysterious couple was seen by witnesses visiting Williams' home late one night in the weeks before his murder, the Telegraph reports. The pair, described as between the ages of 20 and 30, are the only people who had been recently seen at the property that are unaccounted for.

There was no sign of forced entry into his home, and investigators are looking into the possibility that a second key could have been made. They believe he was poisoned because no other cause of death can be found. Police have released public surveillance footage of Williams' last hours on the street and shopping in Harrods following an American vacation in an effort to find more information about his murder or his killers.
