(NEWSER) - Four charred bodies found in the mountains near the Mexican border and two others discovered in a house in San Diego County boosted the death toll of the California wildfires to 12, with 60 others injured. Dorothy Grace Marie Maraglino latest suspect in Brittany Dawn Killgore case

(NEWSER) - A third person was arrested last night in the murder of Brittany Dawn Killgore, a Camp Pendleton Marine's wife. Dorothy Grace Marie Maraglino, 36, was arrested at a downtown San Diego hotel, but no word yet on her suspected role. Staff Sgt. Louis Perez, 45, and Jessica Lynn Lopez, 25, have been charged in the murder; all three suspects as well as Killgore lived in Fallbrook, the Los Angeles Times reports. More»

Brittany Killgore's body found after Jessica Lopez attempts suicide

(NEWSER) - A missing-person case in San Diego has become a complicated murder case, with some media reports hinting at links to a sex ring . The body of Brittany Killgore, the wife of a US Marine serving in Afghanistan, was found in a remote site north of the city after police found Jessica Lynn Lopez, 25, in a motel room suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds. A suicide note in the room led investigators to the body of the 22-year-old woman, who had filed for divorce from her husband a few days earlier. Lopez was briefly hospitalized before being arrested for murder, the North County Times reports. More»
