(NEWSER) - Ty Conklin had a career-best 50 saves in the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders. Jeff Taffe had a goal and an assist for the Penguins, who were short several men because of blockbuster trade. (NEWSER) - Erik Christensen’s goal and assist helped the short-handed Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the New Jersey Devils 4-2. Pittsburgh is missing Sidney Crosby, who is nursing a sprained ankle, Colby Armstrong (flu) and Tyler Kennedy (mononucleosis). Ryan Conklin had a pair of goals and Ty Conklin had 23 saves.
