(NEWSER) - A Wheel of Fortune contestant put one letter on the board—then correctly guessed the entire puzzle, reports Huffington Post. Caitlin Burke of New Jersey won a trip to the Caribbean for figuring out the (oh-so-appropriate) phrase, “I’ve got a good feeling about this,” with the letter L as her only clue. 'Avengers' finally falls off the top spot

(NEWSER) - Men in Black: 3 turned out to be much more in the black than The Avengers , winning the three-day holiday weekend with a whopping $55 million domestically and $202 million worldwide. But, notes the Hollywood Reporter , it needs to do well to justify the $230 million Sony spent to make it. The Avengers, meanwhile, pulled in $37 million to put it at a hefty global gross of $1.3 billion. Singer making return to stage in Atlantic City

(AP) - Michelle Obama was with the single ladies this weekend, joining 5,500 fans at a Beyonce concert in Atlantic City. The first lady took daughters Sasha and Malia to Revel Resorts, where Beyonce performed two dozen songs last night. No sign of the president, but Gov. Chris Christie was among the sell-out crowd. Michelle Obama and the girls appeared excited throughout the concert, cheering Beyonce on. The daughters even sang along to the old school-sounding jam "Love on Top." More»

Hardliners really, really objected to 'vulgar' Born This Way act

(NEWSER) - Lady Gaga may have sold 50,000 tickets to a concert in Indonesia, but the show will not go on after threats of violence finally forced the pop star to pull the plug, reports the BBC . Police had previously refused Gaga a permit , saying that threats from Islamic groups who objected to her Born This Way Ball tour as vulgar made it impossible to guarantee security unless she agreed to tone down her act. After monitoring the situation "minute to minute," Gaga's team instead called the show off. "This is not only about Lady Gaga's security, but extends to those who will be watching her," said a statement from Team Gaga. More»
