(NEWSER) - Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist had to eat crow today—on YouTube. As part of a settlement with David Byrne for using a Talking Heads song without permission, Crist had to post a video with a formal apology, reports the Orlando Sentinel . "I pledge that, should there be any future election campaigns for me, I will respect and uphold the rights of artists and obtain permission or a license for the use of any copyrighted work," said Crist. His Senate campaign last year used "Road to Nowhere" in a spot against Marco Rubio. More»

Band continues to self-release; download available Saturday

(NEWSER) - Radiohead is rolling out new album The King of Limbs this Saturday in digital format, the Telegraph reports, and it's once again forgoing a trifling thing like a record label. (The band notably self-released 2007's In Rainbows.) Fans eager to hear the album ASAP will have to take advantage of the $10 digital download, but will also be able to order CD and 10" vinyl editions on release day. More»

Use of Talking Heads song 'Road to Nowhere' at issue

(NEWSER) - David Byrne has sued Charlie Crist for $1 million, saying the Florida governor used the Talking Heads song "Road to Nowhere" in an ad without permission.
