"It's weighed heavy on my heart," said an emotional Manning. "But I am at peace with it." (NEWSER) - Peyton Manning may recover from surgery quickly enough to practice with the Colts by December, but the team doesn’t expect him to actually take the field until next season, owner Jim Irsay told a breakfast for Super Bowl donors this morning, according to the Indy Star . Texans quarterback snags Pro Bowl MVP award

(AP) - In its new role as a warmup to the Super Bowl, the Pro Bowl became a series of wind sprints. Long gains were the rule and hard hitting the exception as the AFC beat the NFC tonight in Miami, 41-34.
