(NEWSER) - The New York Rangers' supposed high-powered offense has yet to show up consistently this young season, but if goalie Henrik Lundqvist continues to not allow any goals it won’t matter. Briere beats Islanders in shootout, rookies lift Leafs past Canadiens

(NEWSER) - Trading for Cristobal Huet paid off again for the Washington Capitals tonight, reports the Associated Press. Huet recorded his second shutout for the Caps and 17th of his career by blanking the Florida Panthers, 4-0, making 32 saves. It was Huet's fourth shutout of the season. Isles' rookie scores the winner against Devils; Ovechkin nets No. 60

(NEWSER) - Philadelphia blew a two-goal lead in the third period, allowing a pair of Ranger tallies in less than two minutes, and Jaromir Jagr's tying goal inside of two minutes remaining, but eventually won in the shootout on Mike Richards' backhander, 4-3.
