Megaupload founder also granted use of his $120K car
(NEWSER) - It will be hard, but as he waits for a decision on his extradition to the US, somehow Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom will have to survive on a monthly allowance … of almost $50,000. That's how much a New Zealand court granted Dotcom, who faces copyright infringement and other charges related to his file-sharing site, while also allowing him the use of his $120,000 Mercedes. The money will come from Dotcom's frozen assets, and the Mercedes is one of 21 vehicles confiscated when Dotcom was arrested in January .
