DNA tests ordered by court
(NEWSER) - Brother and sister heirs to one of Argentina's largest media companies are being forced to undergo DNA testing to determine if they were stolen as babies from tortured political prisoners to be handed over to their adoptive tycoon mom. Human rights group Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo won a court order requiring tests for Marcela and Felipe Noble Herrera to determine if they were snatched 34 years ago and given to Ernestina Herrera de Noble, owner of the Clarin publishing group, the Independent reports. The lawsuit charges that the siblings were among thousands born to political prisoners during Argentina's "Dirty War" when the military ruled from 1976-1983. More»
