(NEWSER) - John Thompson III accomplished something today his father never did – he led Georgetown to consecutive Big East regular season titles. The 11th-ranked Hoyas battled No. 12 Louisville and hung on to win in the final minute of the game, 55-52. (NEWSER) - Gerald Henderson scored 19 points to lead No. 6 Duke past Virginia in an 86-70 rout. The win sets up the Blue Devils for a showdown against No. 1 North Carolina on Saturday to determine the ACC regular-season champion. (NEWSER) - Jamar Butler scored 23 of his game-high 25 points in the second half as Ohio State upended No. 15 Purdue with an 80-77 overtime victory. Othella Hunter, a 56 percent free throw shooter, gave the Buckeyes the lead late in the extra period by draining two shots from the charity strip.
