(NEWSER) - Jose Guillen drove in a pair of runs to help the Kansas City Royals rally to beat the Detroit Tigers 3-2 on Tuesday night. With the game tied 2-2 in the eighth inning, Guillen doubled with two outs off Francisco Cruceta (0-1). Esteban German ran for Guillen. KC ends 12-game losing streak against Baltimore

(NEWSER) - Brian Bannister allowed two singles in eight innings and Kansas City beat Baltimore 4-0 Sunday to end its 12-game skid against the Orioles. Bannister struck out five and walked two to end a personal four-game losing streak. He did not allow a runner to reach second. Joakim Soria tossed a perfect ninth to finish the Royals’ fourth shutout of the year. More»
