(NEWSER) - Sylvester Stallone directed and co-stars, alongside a Magnificent Seven-style roster of action-film legends—Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke, and Jason Statham—but critics have some issues with The Expendables.

(NEWSER) - Christopher Null, in PC World, has compiled his five best, and five worst, movies that are either about the Internet or use it as a plot device: The good:

1. The Matrix (1998): Keanu Reeves bends bullets.
2. Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005): Meeting people online equals comedic gold.
3. Hackers (1995): Campy cult classic that depicts hackers as heroic outlaws.
4. Startup.com (2001): Documentary about the rise and fall of dot-coms.
5. AntiTrust (2001): A "guilty nerd pleasure."

Cage-starring remake of Asian hit lacks the spice of the original

(NEWSER) - The Pang brothers' Hollywood rehash of their 1999 hit Bangkok Dangerous lacks spice despite the exotic locale, say critics. The "rough, Bangkok underworld-set story" has morphed into "a cleaner tourist's take on crime and corruption," Jordan Mintzer writes in Variety, with Nicolas Cage playing a more conventional hit man than the deaf-mute of the original.
