Lamb has key hit in ninth-inning rally for Minnesota

(NEWSER) - Struggling Mike Lamb lifted the Minnesota Twins past the Boston Red Sox 7-6 last night with a two-run single in the ninth against Jonathan Papelbon, who blew his second consecutive save opportunity. Delmon Young led off the ninth with a single, and advanced on a sacrifice by Matt Tolbert. Adam Everett popped out, Young stole third without a throw, and Carlos Gomez walked and moved up on a steal. Morneau knocks in the winning run

(NEWSER) - Justin Morneau made the most of his second chance. After striking out with a runner on second in the eighth inning, Morneau singled home Brendan Harris in the 10th, lifting the Minnesota Twins to a 2-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday. Dodgers castoff a winner in first start of the season

(NEWSER) - Brett Tomko pitched five shutout innings, Alex Gordon hit a two-run single that put Kansas City ahead in the second inning, and the Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-1.
