Pirates rally to snap Atlanta's six-game win streak

(NEWSER) - Freddy Sanchez singled home Brian Bixler with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the Pittsburgh Pirates a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves tonight. Reyes gets easy first win while subbing for Smoltz

(NEWSER) - The Atlanta Braves made it easy for Jo-Jo Reyes to win his 2008 debut. Reyes gave up one run in 5 1/3 innings, and Atlanta broke open a close game with a six-run seventh to beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-1 last night. Reyes (1-0), recalled from Triple-A Richmond for the start in place of the injured John Smoltz, gave up four hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings. More»
