(NEWSER) - The Atlanta Braves made it easy for Jo-Jo Reyes to win his 2008 debut. Reyes gave up one run in 5 1/3 innings, and Atlanta broke open a close game with a six-run seventh to beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-1 last night. Reyes (1-0), recalled from Triple-A Richmond for the start in place of the injured John Smoltz, gave up four hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings. More»

(NEWSER) - Tim Hudson pitched his 11th career shutout and Brian McCann hit a two-run homer, helping the Atlanta Braves end a season-high four-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds last night. Injured 2B breaks open close game in 7th inning

(NEWSER) - Kelly Johnson's pinch-hit grand slam broke open a close game and the Atlanta Braves overcame a rare call reversal and beat the New York Mets 11-5 today. Johnson, the Braves regular 2B, didn't start for the third straight game due to his sore right knee. Phillies' three home runs help beat the Braves, 5-0

(NEWSER) - Cole Hamels pitched his first career shutout, Ryan Howard homered and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 5-0 last night. Pedro Feliz and Shane Victorino also homered and drove in two runs each for Philly, who lead the majors with 59 homers.
