K-Rod records his first loss of the season

(NEWSER) - Jim Thome hit a go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning, A.J. Pierzynski's RBI double capped a three-run second against Jon Garland, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Los Angeles Angels 4-3 last night. Pierzynski led off the ninth with his third hit, a double against Angels closer Francisco Rodriguez (0-1). Prior to last night he was 0-13 in the series. More»

(NEWSER) - Raul Ibanez hit a two-run homer in the third inning and the Seattle Mariners beat the Chicago White Sox 6-3 today to snap a five-game losing streak. Jose Lopez and Ichiro Suzuki each went 3-for-4 for the Mariners, who finished with 13 hits. It was Seattle's most hits since it collected 10 in a 7-3 win over Texas last Monday. More»
