(NEWSER) - Vernon Wells drove in three runs, Marco Scutaro homered and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox 5-2 today. Right-hander Jesse Litsch (4-1) gave up two runs and five hits in 7 1/3 innings for Toronto, which has won three straight after losing eight of nine. Wells went 3-for-5 with three singles. Oakland roughs up Bay Area native Sabathia early

(NEWSER) - Cleveland's C.C. Sabathia got roughed up in another disappointing homecoming and Dana Eveland allowed one run in seven innings to win in his Oakland Athletics debut, beating the Indians 6-1 today. Jack Cust hit a two-run double in a three-run first inning and Mark Ellis added a solo homer against Sabathia, a Bay Area native who fell to 1-4 with a 7.12 ERA in eight career starts in Oakland.
