Isringhausen blows 2nd straight save as Cards lose 3rd straight

(NEWSER) - Rickie Weeks hit a bases loaded, two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give Milwaukee a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals last night and snap the Brewers' six-game losing streak. (NEWSER) - Hunter Pence hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th to lead the Houston Astros to an 8-6 win over the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday. Pence's home run to left field scored Lance Berkman and completed Houston's comeback for its third straight win. The Astros trailed by as many as four. Gagne picks up his seventh save after Milwaukee beats Pinto

(NEWSER) - Prince Fielder hit a go-ahead solo home run in the eighth inning and also had an RBI single to power the Milwaukee Brewers past the Florida Marlins 4-3 last night. Fielder's fourth home run of the season, a mammoth shot to dead center off reliever Renyel Pinto (1-1), broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth. 12th inning single scores winner after Gagne blows another save

(NEWSER) - Gabe Kapler singled home the winning run with one out in the 12th inning and the Milwaukee Brewers overcame another blown save by Eric Gagne, beating the St. Louis Cardinals 9-8 Tuesday. The Brewers wasted a five-run lead before Kapler's hit. The Cardinals' loss came with an oddity: Slugger Albert Pujols wound up playing second base for the first time in his big league career. More»
