(NEWSER) - In case you haven't heard, Lost ends its run tonight with a 2½-hour episode that carries six seasons' worth of speculation and the anticipation of pretty much the whole internet. "We feel like Lost deserved a real resolution, not a 'snow globe, waking up in bed, it’s all been a dream, cut to black' kind of ending," co-creator Carlton Cuse tells the Washington Post . (NEWSER) - Warning: Spoilers ahead. In anticipation of Sunday’s sure-to-be-baffling Lost finale, the BBC remembers seven of the most bizarrely memorable series enders:

• The Colbys: In this Dynasty spin-off, main character Fallon is abducted by aliens.
• Roseanne: We found out that most of the stuff that happened was really just the plotline of a novel Roseanne was writing.

Date for speech not set, but it's not Feb. 2: Gibbs

(NEWSER) - The date isn't set yet, but couch potatoes can relax: President Obama's State of the Union address will not muscle out the 3-hour premiere of the final season of Lost on Feb. 2. "I don't foresee a scenario in which the millions of people who hope to see a conclusion to Lost are pre-empted by the president," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said at today's daily briefing. (NEWSER) - There is perhaps no “greater sign of our civilization’s decline” than the uproar about President Obama’s State of the Union address possibly preempting the season premiere of Lost or an episode of American Idol, Michael Roston writes. “Before we are couch potatoes, we are citizens,” he rants. News program apologizes after gaffe

(NEWSER) - In what was either a bizarre prank or heinous gaffe, a Bolivian TV station broadcast two photographs last week from the ABC series Lost as exclusive photos from the final moments of Air France Flight 447, the Telegraph reports. The first shows passengers in an aircraft cabin using oxygen masks, while the other shows passengers being sucked out of a break in the fuselage. More»
