Remains were discovered last year in mass grave in the forest

(NEWSER) - The remains of some 60 Jews killed in 1941 by Romanian troops and discovered last year were buried yesterday in a Jewish cemetery in the country’s east. The bodies, including those of women and children, were found in November in a Romanian forest. The mass grave was added evidence of the country’s involvement in the Holocaust, a matter kept quiet for decades. German Court Fines Bishop for Holocaust Denial

Richard Williamson fails to show up

(NEWSER) - A German court has convicted a British bishop of inciting racial hatred and fined him $13,544 for denying the Holocaust in a 2009 TV interview. Richard Williamson wasn’t in the courtroom, the BBC reports. The court heard a tape of Williamson declaring that only “200,000 to 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps,” and that no gas chambers were used. He can be heard telling the interviewer, “Be careful, this is against the law in Germany.” More»

Jewish Engineer Designed Beetle: Historian

Hitler ordered Porsche to replicated Josef Ganz's prototype

(NEWSER) - Adolf Hitler took the original design for the Volkswagen Beetle from the brainchild of a Jewish engineer, the Jerusalem Post reports. Historian Paul Schilperoord claims in his forthcoming book The True History of the Beetle that a prototype Josef Ganz designed in the late '20s had many of the Beetle’s distinctive features, such as a rear-mounted engine. He even called the completed prototype, constructed in 1931, the Maikäfer, or "May-Beetle." More»
