(NEWSER) - A Florida teen charged with killing 19 cats in his Miami community became so excited talking about feline dissection that detectives were convinced he was a sociopath, according to court documents released yesterday. Tyler Weinman, 18, never admitted he killed the cats that were found mutilated in his neighborhood, but eagerly spoke of the appealing "tearing sound" of cat dissection. (NEWSER) - Cats in the suburbs of Miami are turning up on lawns murdered and mutilated, the Herald reports. Some 20 animals have been victims of what the Humane Society has termed “serial cat killings” in two neighborhoods. Meatloaf survived trip from Florida to Phoenix without food, water

(NEWSER) - Being a bit on the chubby side probably saved Meatloaf the cat's life, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. The year-old feline wandered into a man's moving container in Florida and was rescued three weeks later when an employee at a Phoenix warehouse heard meowing coming from a crate.
