Pedro Feliz singled home Eric Bruntlett in the bottom of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie and provide the winning run, the Tampa Bay Tribune reports. (AP) - It took a while, but the Phillies finally beat Tampa Bay in the wee hours to take a 2-1 lead in the World Series. Carlos Ruiz hit an infield single—a trickler down the third-base line—with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth as Philly outlasted the Rays, 5-4. The Phillies and Rays will pick up where Monday's night's Game 5 left off: tied at 2 in the bottom of the sixth. The Phillies, 28 years without a title, lead the Series 3-1.
