Ex-Miami Dolphins team members Patrick Surtain and Oronde Gadsden, along with 19 other players, have filed suit in Miami and are charging that the NFL deliberately omitted or concealed evidence connecting concussions to long-term neurological problems, reports the AP . (NEWSER) - The 136-day-old NFL lockout is finally ending: Owners and players hit on a deal this morning after negotiations over the weekend, the AP reports, and the NFL Players Association executive board and 32 team reps have voted unanimously to approve the terms. The final pact is for 10 years and has no opt-out clause, meaning the league can expect smooth sailing on the labor front through the 2021 draft, reports USA Today . Team facilities could open today, with re-signings starting today and rookie signings beginning tomorrow. Veteran free agent signings could start Friday. More»

(NEWSER) - There appears to be a little glitch in the NFL owners' agreement to end the lockout—only one party agreed to anything, reports Pro Football Talk . "There is no agreement between the NFL and the Players at this time," reads an email sent yesterday by the players' association boss, noting that "issues that need to be collectively bargained remain open; other issues such as workers compensation, economic issues and end of deal terms remain unresolved."
