Congressional hopeful Natalia Juarez wants to 'wake up' voters
(NEWSER) - How do you wake up voters? If you're a female candidate you could whip off your top. That's the strategy of a philosophy professor who wants to be in Mexico's congress. Natalia Juarez, 34, gave her campaign a jolt by posing for a head-turning billboard ad with six other women, all topless (though hands are strategically placed over particularly sensitive spots), reports CNN . "I dare you to build a new project for a nation with no prejudices," says a caption with the ad. Exactly why did she go for the topless look? "Society is lethargic," she explains. "We need to get energized. We need to tell people, 'Hey, wake up because if you don't, sharks are going to eat you up. Wake up, you citizens and politicians.'" More»
