(NEWSER) - The men who terrorized Mumbai did so with the help of cocaine, steroids, and even LSD, claims a report in the Telegraph. Police found syringes tainted with those drugs at the scene, according to an unnamed official, and later found the drugs in their blood. “This explains why they managed to battle the commandos for over 50 hours with no food or sleep,” the source said. (NEWSER) - Police in Mumbai were armed with weapons designed as long ago as World War I to battle terrorists brandishing sophisticated AK47 automatic rifles, reports the Times of London. The alarming disparity in arms explains why a handful of terrorists was able to paralyze the city and inflict so many casualties.
