(NEWSER) - A student at an Orange County high school faces 69 felony charges and a possible 38 years in prison for a scheme to alter grades, the Los Angeles Times reports. The locked-up 18-year-old is accused of breaking into his school repeatedly, hacking into computers, and changing test scores and records for himself and 12 other students. No big deal, except the women had allegedly stuffed $20,000 in stolen beauty products into their shopping bags and car trunks, the Washington Post reports. Police accuse Darquesha Wilkinson, 19, and Latasha Mungo, 24, of stealing high-end lotions, makeup, and perfume in an ongoing scheme to resell the products at cheaper prices. More»

Arkansas Supreme Court: Teacher-Student Sex OK If...

...said student is 18

(AP) - Arkansas 18-year-olds can now freely engage in sex with their teachers. The state's Supreme Court yesterday struck down the state's law banning sexual contact between teachers and students, finding that people 18 or older have a constitutional right to engage in a consensual sexual relationship. The court sided with 38-year-old David Paschal, an Elkins High School history and psychology teacher who admitted having a five-month consensual sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student. Hundreds take part in rallies

(NEWSER) - Protests over the shooting of Trayvon Martin continued today as hundreds of students walked out of class at several South Florida high schools. Teens arrested after student reported threatening text

(NEWSER) - Two Utah teenagers who were allegedly plotting to bomb their school—and then flee on a plane stolen from a nearby airport—were arrested on Wednesday, police say. Dallin Morgan, 18, and Joshua Hogan, 16, were apprehended after another student at Roy High School reported a text message sent by one of them that "she felt was a threat and a danger," said a police rep. "She immediately went to the administration." Police searched the boys' homes and the school; they found no explosives. More»
