(NEWSER) - Donald Trump has been named in a lawsuit claiming that his “Trump University” real estate course is a scam. The $1,500 course, which wasn’t accredited and offered no degree, promised to impart “insider” knowledge and give students the chance to be “my next apprentice.” But now a few of the people who took the course say it was essentially an “infomercial,” pushing them to spend $35,000 for the “Trump gold elite” course. Lyralisa Stevens sues for surgery to move to safer women's prison

(NEWSER) - A murderer is suing California, demanding the state pay for her sex change operation and move her from a men's prison to a safer women's prison. The state has provided Lyralisa Stevens, who lives as a female, with sex hormones since 2003 when she began a 50 year-to-life sentence for shooting a woman in a dispute over clothing. But officials say they are not responsible for financing and arranging an operation to remove her male genitalia. Stevens has had silicone injections in her hips and breasts, and is in constant fear of attack, according to the suit. "The male inmate is not expecting to see breasts in the shower next to him," wrote Stevens. More»

(NEWSER) - Everyone loves a bargain—everyone except Donald Trump. The owner of the ritzy Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., isn't happy that the city charges couples under a grand to get married at a small park right behind his course's clubhouse—where a wedding can cost $150,000, the LA Times reports. Mom died of water intoxication in effort to win Wii for her kids

(NEWSER) - A Sacramento radio station has been ordered to pay $16 million to the family of a woman who died during its "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest. The woman, who was trying to win the game console for her three children, died of water intoxication after taking part in the contest to see who could drink the most water without urinating or vomiting, the Sacramento Bee reports.
