(NEWSER) - The Ottawa Senators improved their conference-best record to 24-8-4 with a 5-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Ottawa goaltender Martin Gerber was shaken up just four minutes into the game after taking a Tim Connolly slap shot to the mask, but was able to continue and compiled 29 saves to lead the Senators to victory, according to the AP.
