His father died in Afghanistan two years ago
(NEWSER) - From the tragic coincidence department: A South Carolina teen was killed in a car crash yesterday—on a stretch of highway that happened to be dedicated to his father, a local National Guard member killed in Afghanistan. Aaron Shawn Hill, 18, was driving with several other students when he was hit head-on by a pickup truck that crossed the center line, the Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports.
