Gary Ross confirms he's not returning for 'Catching Fire'
(NEWSER) - After weeks of rumors that director Gary Ross may not return for the second film in the Hunger Games franchise, Ross and Lionsgate confirmed the news today—while simultaneously shooting down rumors of contentious negotiations. "Contrary to what has been reported, negotiations with Lionsgate have not been problematic. They have also been very understanding of me through this difficult decision," said Ross, who added that he simply does not have enough time to do Catching Fire based on "the fixed and tight production schedule."
