(NEWSER) - Amy Winehouse was cleared of assault today, with a judge determining evidence did not show dancer Sherene Flash suffered “the sort of injury that often occurs when there is a forceful punch to the eye,” the BBC reports. Denies charges, says suit will be dropped

(NEWSER) - Michael Lohan, who pleaded not guilty to accusations he threatened to kill his fiancée, tells E! that Erin Muller wants to drop the charges. “By no means did I threaten to cause harm to Erin or myself,” he says. “As a matter of fact, Erin even told the court that she didn’t want to pursue anything.” Lohan—now a religious counselor—claims the charges stem from a misunderstanding. Pap files claim on same day Brown speaks out in online video

(NEWSER) - Chris Brown is being sued by a paparazzo who says he was assaulted by Brown’s bodyguards after taking pictures of Brown at a Los Angeles gym May 13, the AP reports. Brown himself is not accused of any violence. Brown’s attorney says Robert Rosen has filed such suits before; a man with the same name filed a similar claim against Pierce Brosnan in 2007, though it wasn’t immediately clear if it’s the same man. Second nanny suit still set for trial

(NEWSER) - Rob Lowe’s nanny drama is half over, now that the TV star and one former nanny have asked that their lawsuits be dismissed, People reports. Lowe sued Jessica Gibson last year for allegedly blackmailing his family to the tune of $1.5 million. She countersued, claiming he groped and exposed himself to her. A similar battle between the Lowes and a second nanny will go to trial Nov. 16, E! reports. More»
