(AP) - Big East powers Louisville, Pittsburgh, and UConn helped the league that was created for hoops become the first conference to earn three No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament in the field announced tonight. North Carolina, the regular-season ACC champ, was the other top seed. (NEWSER) - North Carolina reached its second Final Four in four years with an 83-73 win over Louisville last night, reports the Raleigh News & Observer. The Tar Heels, who blew an 11-point lead to lose to Georgetown in last season's Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, had flashbacks in the second half against the Cardinals. (NEWSER) - North Carolina ran all over play-in team Mount St. Mary’s last night, running up an NBA-level 113-74 margin in only 40 college minutes. The Tar Heels had 14 players score during the game, giving the Mountaineers little chance against the nation’s No. 1-ranked team.
