You may rejoice momentarily, but “you’ll miss Paris Hilton now that she’s gone,” promises Richard Rushfield. He offers up the evidence of a new era, on Gawker :

(NEWSER) - British singer-songwriter Adele is getting tons of acclaim for her second album, 21, which is entirely about one person: the guy who broke her heart. In her honor, New York lists 13 of the most deserving exes famously called out in song:

• Nick Jonas: In Miley Cyrus’s “7 Things,” she recounts all the teenage-y wrongs he did her, like being vain and liking other girls.
• John Mayer: Taylor Swift’s “Dear John” is about him, but it didn’t really enact too much vengeance, considering Mayer is probably jazzed Swift penned a song about him.

Lohan's apparent breakdown is eerily similar to Spears'

(NEWSER) - Lindsay Lohan’s current troubles and Britney Spears’ infamous breakdown are so eerily similar, it’s a wonder Lilo hasn’t shaved her head. Fox News lists seven reasons La Lohan is the new Brit:

1. The ick factor: Britney started sporting ratty hair during her time of trouble; Lindsay's once-gorgeous locks are in similar need of shampoo.
2. Weird photo ops: Britney was often photographed crying or stripping…now Lindsay is snapped falling , or with white powder puffing from her feet.

(NEWSER) - Now that Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen are hitting “ prehab ”—rehab for people (supposedly) without any actual addiction issues—it’s time for other celebrities to follow suit. Ami Angelowicz lists her top 10 candidates, on The Frisky :

• Britney Spears: Sure, she seems OK now. But you never know when she’ll “flip out on Jason Trawick, shave off her extensions again, and break out the pink wig.”

(NEWSER) - Miley Cyrus, star of such photo scandals as “racy Vanity Fair shoot” and “slanty-eyes group shot,” is going for the trilogy, reports the Sun. Adam Shankman, the 44-year-old director of her latest film, posted two suggestive shots of her on Twitter, but took them down when the backlash started. Elsewhere:
