(NEWSER) - A key insider has finally confirmed what many suspected: Megan Fox got bounced from the Transformers series that made her famous because she compared her director to Adolf Hitler. The order to fire her came directly from producer Steven Spielberg, reports the Telegraph . The 25-year-old actress claimed last year that she was quitting—before production of the about-to-be-released Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon—in order to pursue other "acting" opportunities. A judge today agreed to expunge the drunk driving conviction Gibson earned after his infamous anti-Semitic rant in 2006. The actor’s fulfilled the terms of his three-year probation, including the requisite AA meetings, public service announcements, and $1,300 in fines. After only 2 weeks, it's grossed $448 million around the globe, just shy of the $469 million haul by Angels & Demons, which opened in May. It's on track to take over the No. 1 spot by Friday.
