I Didn't Provoke Sutherland: Headbutt Victim

(NEWSER) - Kiefer Sutherland turned himself in to New York City cops today and promptly got charged with misdemeanor assault, E! Online reports. The 42-year-old star of 24 reportedly head-butted fashion designer Jack McCollough at a party. Sutherland, who says he was sticking up for Brooke Shields, will be arraigned on June 22. Across the country, prosecutors in LA are trying to figure out whether Sutherland violated his probation on a DUI arrest during the melee. If so, he could spend 10 months in jail. More»

Man allegedly cut women with razor or box cutter

(NEWSER) - Police in Peru have arrested a man suspected of cutting women's buttocks in Virginia shopping malls. Johnny D. Guillen Pimentel, 40, is in custody as northern Virginia police work with federal and international authorities to return him back to the US, the Washington Post reports. Police issued a warrant in September charging Pimentel with one of nine assaults on young women using a box cutter or razor. He reportedly fled to Peru last month, sparking local news stories about the “cortela nalgas,” or “buttock slasher.” More»
