(NEWSER) - Two weeks after George Zinkhan allegedly murdered his wife and two men at a Georgia playhouse, police say they located the body of the fugitive marketing professor, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. (NEWSER) - The University of Georgia professor suspected of shooting and killing his wife and two others last weekend remains at large, but authorities have finally found his car, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The Jeep was discovered “well off the beaten path” in a wooded ravine near George Zinkhan’s house. A nationwide manhunt is on for marketing prof George Zinkhan, who eyewitnesses say shot his victims at close range Saturday—while his kids waited in his car—during a picnic at a community theater where his wife volunteered. Calif. Murder Fugitive Killed by SWAT Team

Aaron Bassler had hiding in forests since allegedly killing two people

(NEWSER) - A 35-year-old fugitive suspected in killing two people in Fort Bragg, Calif., was shot seven times and killed by a three-man SWAT team yesterday, reports the LA Times. Aaron Bassler, reportedly a schizophrenic, is thought to have killed the manager of a local conservation group on Aug. 11 and local councilman Jere Melo on Aug. 27 . Since the killings, Bassler had been living in densely forests around Fort Bragg, breaking into cabins for supplies and forcing authorities to close popular hiking trails in the area. More»
