Animal Kingdom comes up short after late charge

(AP) - No Triple Crown again this year: Shackleford won today's Preakness Stakes at Pimlico. He fended off a late charge by Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom, who finished just a half-length behind, ahead of third-place finisher Astrology.
