Obama's Approval Rating Softens

(NEWSER) - President Obama's job-approval rating slipped to 50% in Gallup poll results out today, a new low for the 10-month-old administration, the Los Angeles Times reports. The drawn-out health care reform debate apparently is dragging down the number, which hit 69% after the inauguration. The disapproval number is 43%. His overall approval rating is below 60%—a USA Today/Gallup poll gives him 55%, putting him 10th among the 12 post-World War II presidents after six months in office. Numbers are lower in nearly every area since 2010

(NEWSER) - More data from the latest Gallup poll is trickling out, and—surprise, surprise!—it's not good news for President Obama. When it comes to handling the economy, his approval rating has sunk to a new low of 26%. That's down 11 percentage points since mid-May; his previous low was 35% in November 2010. A whopping 71% disapprove of his handling of the economy—a new high, ABC News notes. New survey is latest disappointment for President

(NEWSER) - A new Gallup poll is the latest this week to show President Obama's approval ratings falling below 50%. Today's results, which appear to refute Rush Limbaugh's contention that Gallup's results are tilted to favor Obama, show 49% of voters approve of his handling of the presidency and 44% do not. A Quinnipiac University poll this week put Obama's approval at 48%, and a Public Policy Polling report showed a 49% figure. More»
